Two for One

He had his head between her legs.

​"Yes Mom," she shouted, trying to disengage herself.

​"Why are you shouting?"  asked her Mother.

​"Bad connection Mom, can you hear me?"

"Very well.  As a matter of fact I can hear you on the phone and through the door."

"What do you mean through the door.  You are not in Jamaica?"

​"No I am here in New York, outside your door. Surprise."

"I don't believe you Mom," she said, stalling for time.

"Well it's true, open the door.  What are you doing in there anyway?"

​"I am studying, just a minute."

They got dressed in two minutes.

"Open the door, might as well face the music," he said.

​"No I will go out, lock the door behind me.  I will take her to the corner for coffee."

​He leaned against the door after she left.  It would have been ugly if he had been seen.  He was to marry her Mother in two weeks.
